BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a robbery and assault that occurred earlier this month, according to Birmingham police.
Authorities identified the suspect as Corey Washington, who is charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault. The incident reportedly took place on March 14 in the 200 block of Oporto Madrid Boulevard.
Washington was taken into custody on March 19 by the Birmingham Police Department’s Special Enforcement Teams in the 2900 block of Center Point Parkway.
He has since been transported to the Jefferson County Jail as the case proceeds.
