Corey L. Roth Arrested for Vehicle Theft and Firearm Incident in Quincy

Hannibal man faces multiple felony charges after waving gun and stealing vehicle near Hull, Illinois

QUINCY, Illinois (WGEM) — A Hannibal man is behind bars after being arrested by Quincy Police for allegedly stealing a vehicle and waving a firearm during the incident, according to Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood.

Authorities say the incident occurred Saturday along State Highway 106, just west of Hull, Illinois. Responding to reports of a man brandishing a firearm and hijacking a vehicle, Pike County deputies quickly entered the suspect’s information into their database.

Thanks to rapid coordination between agencies, Quincy Police later located and arrested the suspect, identified as Corey L. Roth, 36, of Hannibal, Missouri.

Roth now faces a series of serious charges, including:

Aggravated vehicular hijacking

Unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon

Aggravated assault

Driving while license is revoked

Possession of a certificate of title without complete assignment

Intimidation

Following his arrest, Roth was transported to the Pike County Jail, where he remains in custody as the investigation continues.
