SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Authorities arrested Adeel Shams, 34, the owner of popular sneaker resale business Coolkicks, last week following a raid on his warehouse in Santa Monica.

On October 2, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Commercial Crimes Division, supported by multiple agencies, executed a search warrant at Coolkicks’ warehouse on Stewart Street.

During the operation, officers recovered stolen cargo consisting of over 2,100 pairs of Nike shoes and 150 cartons of Nike clothing, valued at approximately $500,000. The items were confirmed to be stolen train cargo.

Shams was arrested on-site and booked on charges of receiving stolen property.

The investigation into the theft and distribution of the stolen goods remains active, with police expecting to make additional arrests.
