Conrad Hilton, 20, was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill several flight attendants and the co-pilot aboard a British Airways flight from London to Los Angeles.
According to a criminal complaint filed Monday, Hilton became aggressive shortly after takeoff, accusing the crew of “taking the peasants’ side.” His outburst delayed the drink service by 40 minutes and he refused to sit down.
Witnesses described Hilton as enraged throughout most of the 11-hour flight, shouting statements like, “I will f****** own anyone on this flight. They are f****** peasants.”
He also threatened the co-pilot directly, saying, “If you wanna square up to me bro, then bring it on and I will f****** fight you.”
At one point, Hilton locked himself in the airplane restroom, from which the smell of cannabis reportedly began to waft. After being confronted by staff, he moved to another bathroom and was seen smoking a second cigarette.
Hilton allegedly threatened to have multiple flight attendants and the co-pilot fired, boasting, “I could get you all fired in five minutes. I know your boss. My father will pay this out. He has done it before. Dad paid $300,000 last time.”
The incident caused distress among passengers, with several children reportedly crying. Hilton eventually fell asleep and was handcuffed to his seat for the final 90 minutes of the flight.
Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal Hilton admitted to taking a sleeping pill before the flight and boasted about intimidating the crew.
His attorney, Robert Shapiro, told TMZ that Hilton “wasn’t himself” due to the sleeping pill and expressed concern for his client’s behavior.
