Columbia Man Arrested in Sedalia for Stolen Vehicle and Drug Possession

Devantre' Johnson faces multiple felony charges including drug trafficking and vehicle tampering

SEDALIA, MO — Devantre’ Johnson, a 32-year-old man from Columbia, is facing multiple charges after his arrest in Pettis County. According to a probable cause statement, a Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputy noticed a vehicle in Sedalia that had been reported stolen out of Macon. The deputy stopped the car, leading to Johnson’s arrest.

Search Yields Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia
A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe with a crystal-like substance and a baggie containing drugs. The substances tested positive for both fentanyl and methamphetamine, leading to further charges for drug possession.

Charges and Bond
Johnson now faces felony charges including:

Second-degree drug trafficking
Possession of a controlled substance
First-degree tampering with a motor vehicle
Driving while suspended
His bond has been set at $150,000.
