MOORHEAD, MN (KFGO) — A high-speed police chase ended with the arrest of 23-year-old Cole Meadows, a burglary suspect from Anoka, Minnesota, east of Moorhead on Monday afternoon.
According to Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting, Meadows, a resident of Spring Lake Park, was traveling westbound on I-94 and was believed to be armed. He was wanted in connection with a burglary in Anoka.
During the pursuit, law enforcement deployed stop sticks twice, eventually bringing Meadows to a halt on State Highway 336. He fled on foot but was quickly apprehended with the assistance of K9 Cash, who also discovered a handgun nearby.
Meadows was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for evaluation before being booked into the Clay County Jail. He faces multiple charges and is expected to be extradited to Anoka County.
Two other individuals in the vehicle were released and not charged.
Responding units included the Minnesota State Patrol, Clay County deputies, Glyndon and Dilworth police, Glyndon Fire and Rescue, Sanford Ambulance, and Red River Regional Dispatch.
