In a major breakthrough, a special team of Coimbatore District Police has arrested a man from West Bengal in connection with the recent murder of a construction worker in Pollachi.
The accused has been identified as Pramatha Biswas (45), a resident of Betai village, Nadia district, West Bengal. He was apprehended by a special team led by R. Gowtham, Sub-Inspector of Pollachi Town (East) police station.
Police officials confirmed that the arrest is part of ongoing investigations into the incident, and further inquiries are underway to determine the motive and recover additional evidence.
Authorities stated that Pramatha Biswas will be produced before the court shortly, and the investigation team is coordinating with West Bengal police to ensure smooth legal proceedings.
