Coimbatore Man Arrested for Murdering Wife’s Alleged Paramour

R. Murugavel arrested for killing near Karumathampatti over infidelity

Coimbatore District Police have arrested a 56-year-old man, R. Murugavel, on Monday for allegedly murdering his wife’s alleged paramour near Karumathampatti. Murugavel, a native of Kattumannarkoil in Cuddalore district, had been working as a cook at a private hospital’s canteen.

The motive behind the murder is believed to be infidelity, with Murugavel reportedly discovering that his wife had been involved with another man. Details of the attack suggest a violent confrontation took place, leading to the man’s death. Police apprehended Murugavel soon after the incident, and an investigation is ongoing.
