Wanted for vehicle and property thefts in two counties

by Sophia Bennett

McMINN COUNTY, Tenn. — A man wanted for multiple vehicle and property thefts across Meigs and McMinn counties is now in custody, according to McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy.

Authorities identified the suspect as Cody Dustin Miller, who was arrested Monday following several high-speed pursuits that spanned both counties.

Miller had previously made headlines in 2022 when a viewer captured dramatic footage of him driving a stolen truck from Bradley County. In that incident, Miller was seen going off-road during a police chase, with deputies closely following.

He was eventually apprehended and faced numerous charges at the time.

Now back in custody, officials say Miller was arrested after evading capture during repeated back-and-forth chases between the two counties. His latest charges have not yet been released, but authorities are expected to provide more details soon.
