COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA — Scott McElman, 40, was arrested by the Cocoa Beach Police Department on April 25, following a month-long investigation. McElman faces multiple drug charges, including trafficking in fentanyl, possession of methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a violation of pre-trial release conditions.

Officers, with the assistance of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, executed a search warrant at McElman’s residence at 285 Corona Avenue in Cocoa Beach. During the operation, authorities discovered a significant quantity of narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside the home.

The arrest comes after Cocoa Beach detectives gathered enough evidence to secure the warrant. McElman had previously been arrested by the Cocoa Beach Police in 2022 on similar drug charges and was out on bond awaiting trial when this latest incident occurred.

A spokesperson for the Cocoa Beach Police Department expressed gratitude for the continued partnership with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, whose support was key to the operation’s success in keeping the community safe.
