
NEW HARTFORD, CT — Jason Stimson, a 51-year-old coach, was arrested for allegedly sending inappropriate messages and photographs to two 14-year-old girls he coached.
According to court documents obtained by Channel 3, Stimson faces two counts of risk of injury to a minor and two counts of harmful communication with a minor.
The investigation began after multiple complaints were filed against Stimson, who coached the victims in soccer and also led a basketball team for the Regional 7 school district.
Stimson reportedly sent explicit messages and images via Snapchat, Instagram, and text. One victim also claimed that Stimson touched her inappropriately during soccer practice and at a baseball game.
The school district has yet to respond to requests for comment.
