CLARENDON, Ark. — A high school football coach in Arkansas has been arrested and charged with multiple serious offenses involving a minor, according to Arkansas State Police.
Caleb Hunter Gannon, 27, who had recently been appointed head football coach at Clarendon High School, was taken into custody on July 30 during a traffic stop in West Memphis. The arrest was carried out by the Arkansas State Police (ASP) and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) says it is actively investigating allegations that Gannon sexually assaulted a minor. He is accused of committing the crimes while preparing for his first season leading the school’s football team.
Following his first court appearance, Gannon was formally charged with two felonies:

A judge set Gannon’s bond at $3 million. He is currently being held at the Prairie County Detention Center.
