Omarion Price, 19, from Clovis, New Mexico, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including aggravated assault upon a peace officer and fleeing arrest.
The charges stem from an incident on November 22, 2023, when Clovis police officers attempted to arrest Price on a warrant. Price, then 18, fled the scene in a vehicle driven by Sheryka Baca. During the pursuit, Price fired several rounds from a Glock pistol at law enforcement officers. He was eventually apprehended while hiding on a rooftop on Williams Street.
On February 3, 2024, Price pleaded guilty to aggravated assault upon a peace officer, attempted aggravated battery on a peace officer with a deadly weapon, and aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer. Judge Drew D. Tatum sentenced him to 15 years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections. Under state law, Price must serve at least 11 years before becoming eligible for parole.
