CLARKSTON, WA — Sharbi D. Fowler, 48, of Clarkston, was arrested Saturday afternoon for allegedly stealing merchandise from Walmart while violating an active trespass order from the store.
Police responded to the Walmart on 5th Street around 1:40 p.m. following a report of a shoplifter. Officers observed Fowler placing merchandise into a bag and continuing to add items as she moved through the aisles. Fowler then bypassed all point-of-sale registers without attempting to pay and exited into the vestibule area between the store’s two doors.
Walmart staff stopped Fowler, and she produced a receipt from a prior visit, but it did not match the items she was carrying. Upon further investigation, officers confirmed that Fowler had an active trespass order from Walmart, issued in 2016.
Authorities advised Fowler that entering the store while trespassed and committing theft constituted burglary. She was arrested without incident and taken to the Asotin County Jail.
The total value of the stolen merchandise was reported to be $228.14.
