Tyler County — Authorities arrested Christopher Tubb, 52, of Woodville, following a joint narcotics and organized crime investigation that led to a major seizure of drugs and firearms.
On August 18, the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler County District Attorney’s Office, and Texas Department of Public Safety executed a search and arrest warrant at Tubb’s residence on Highway 190 east of Woodville.
During the search, officers found approximately 340 grams (about three-quarters of a pound) of methamphetamine, around 3 ounces of marijuana, and eight firearms. As a convicted felon, Tubb is prohibited from possessing weapons.
Tubb was taken into custody and is currently held at Tyler County Jail on nearly $1 million in bonds. He faces charges including parole violation, felony manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, eight counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of marijuana.
Sheriff Bryan Weatherford thanked all participating agencies for their cooperation in combating crime and ensuring the safety of Tyler County.
