MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — A Decatur man is back behind bars after Priceville Police executed multiple arrest warrants stemming from a July traffic stop.
Christopher Matthew Tennyson, 38, was initially pulled over on July 21 near Highway 67 and Mountain Valley Road. During the stop, officers discovered methamphetamine, synthetic urine, drug paraphernalia, and multiple ID cards and credit cards not belonging to him. All items were seized, but Tennyson was released at the time pending further investigation.
After weeks of review, Priceville Police issued several arrest warrants on August 30, charging Tennyson with:
Trafficking in stolen identities
Unlawful possession of a controlled substance
Operating a vehicle with a secret compartment
Use of synthetic urine
Possession of drug paraphernalia
The warrants were served on September 24 at the Cullman County Jail, where Tennyson was already in custody on unrelated charges. He was subsequently transferred to the Morgan County Jail, where he is being held on a $30,600 bond.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
