DECATUR, Ala. — Christopher Scott King, a Hazel Green resident, has been charged with Aggravated Theft by Deception after allegedly stealing more than $500,000 from Corporate Billings in Decatur.
Court records reveal that King was responsible for collecting payments on invoices for the company but submitted many fake or uncollected billing slips. He admitted in bankruptcy court late last year to “pre-billing” for services that were never actually performed.
King was arrested on Tuesday and now faces felony charges related to the fraudulent scheme.
