Christopher Michalak Arrested for Fraud in Palm Bay, FL

Oceanside Cabinets manager faces felony charges over $112K theft

Christopher Michalak, the manager of Oceanside Cabinets in Palm Bay, Florida, was arrested on January 16 for multiple felony charges related to fraudulent activities. He is accused of defrauding ten victims in Palm Bay by accepting payments for cabinetry work he never intended to complete.

According to Palm Bay Police Lt. Virginia Kilmer, Michalak collected funds, amounting to around $112,000, with promises of service but instead diverted the money for his personal use. He faces charges including Scheme to Defraud, Grand Theft from a Person Over 65, Grand Theft, and Communications Fraud.

The investigation was led by the Palm Bay Police Department’s General Crimes Unit, in collaboration with the Brevard County State Attorney’s Office. Lt. Kilmer emphasized that the department is committed to holding criminals accountable and ensuring justice for the victims.
