SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KRON) — A man suspected of robbing a Chase Bank in Santa Rosa in March 2024 has been arrested following a year-long investigation, authorities confirmed Thursday.
Christopher McKusick, 54, of Santa Rosa, was taken into custody around 10:40 a.m. by Santa Rosa Police Department Violent Crimes Investigations detectives in the 600 block of Administration Drive.
McKusick was identified as the primary suspect in the March 21, 2024, robbery of the Chase Bank located at 2300 Sonoma Avenue. According to police, his identification came after extensive review of surveillance footage and digital forensic analysis.
During the robbery, McKusick reportedly entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding cash. No weapon was shown or threatened, but he fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money before police arrived.
Detectives also searched his home on Doyle Park Drive for evidence related to the robbery.
McKusick has been booked into the Sonoma County Jail on charges of robbery and two counts of violating probation.
