Christopher Lamorie Charged in Gravenhurst Bike Theft

OPP recovers stolen fat-tire bike from retail store

GRAVENHURST, ONTARIO — A 45-year-old local man, Christopher Lamorie, has been charged after allegedly stealing a fat-tire bicycle and other items from a retail store on Talisman Drive in Gravenhurst.

The incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025, prompting a response from officers with the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Police quickly located Lamorie and placed him under arrest. He has been charged with Theft Under $5000.

Lamorie is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 25, 2025, to answer to the charge.
