Christopher Jackson Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges in Morgan County

A Sylacauga man is facing several drug-related charges after a routine traffic stop in Morgan County led to a drug bust.

On Tuesday, April 29, at around 5:30 p.m., Priceville Police conducted a traffic stop on I-65 southbound near mile marker 334. Officers identified the driver as 50-year-old Christopher Alan Jackson.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded firearm inside the vehicle. Police noted that Jackson, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a previous felony conviction for assault in Talladega County.

Jackson was arrested and taken to the Morgan County Jail. He is facing charges for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a certain person forbidden from possessing a firearm.

A Morgan County Circuit Judge set Jackson’s bond at $70,000.
