Drug Dealer Christopher Duckworth Sentenced for Supplying Heroin and Crack Cocaine Under Alias ‘Ducky’

A father of two who ran a drug supply line under the name “Ducky” has been jailed after continuing to peddle heroin, crack cocaine, and pregabalin despite previous convictions.

Christopher Duckworth, 30, from St Helens, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court after admitting two counts of being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of pregabalin, and failing to provide a blood sample for analysis.

Duckworth had previously received a 15-month suspended sentence in 2021 for intent to supply heroin and cannabis. In total, he has 15 prior convictions for 22 offences.

The court heard Duckworth operated the ‘Ducky’ drug line, where he even apologized to users for poor product quality and offered free wraps as compensation. Prosecutor Iain Criddle said users complained about the low quality or quantity of drugs, to which Duckworth would reply with promises of two extra wraps on their next purchase — demonstrating his control over the supply chain.

He was first arrested in summer 2024 at a home on Junction Lane in St Helens, where he was found with £260 in cash and two phones. One was “ringing constantly” with drug orders. Despite being released under investigation, Duckworth was later arrested again and tried to destroy evidence by smashing his phones.

Defending, Joanne Daniels told the court Duckworth is now reflecting on his actions. He has expressed interest in educational courses in prison and is committed to becoming a better father to his two daughters, aged 1 and 10. She noted that his struggles with drugs began in youth and eventually escalated into dealing.

The court acknowledged his personal challenges but emphasized the seriousness of his crimes in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking.
