Christine Boyd Arrested for Fraud Using Deceased Person’s Card

The North Haven woman faces larceny and card theft charges

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A North Haven woman has been arrested following an investigation into fraudulent transactions linked to a deceased individual’s bank account, police said.

Authorities launched an investigation on February 6, 2024, after being alerted to two fraudulent purchases made using the bank account of a deceased person.

Following the investigation, police identified 44-year-old Christine Boyd as the suspect. A search warrant later revealed that Boyd had used the victim’s bank card to make unauthorized purchases on a travel website.

Boyd was taken into custody on April 1, 2024, and charged with the following offenses:

Fifth-degree larceny

Sixth-degree larceny

Two counts of payment card theft

She is now facing legal proceedings as authorities continue their investigation.
