Christian Harper Accused of Assaulting Nurse and Officer at Loyola Hospital
MAYWOOD, Ill. — A Bellwood man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly assaulting both a nurse and a police officer at Loyola Hospital’s emergency room, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.
Christian Harper, 24, has been charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer and aggravated battery to a nurse following the violent incident.
Deputies responded to the hospital in Maywood after reports that Harper had punched a nurse twice in the face and then kicked a Maywood police officer in the face while being restrained. Authorities say Harper was taken into custody without further incident. No serious injuries were reported.
Officials have not disclosed what led to the alleged attack. The investigation remains ongoing.
