The operation, which took place on November 30, targeted Room No. 303 of the Kanha Boutique Hotel, where the suspects were apprehended in the act. The arrests were confirmed later that evening, marking a crucial step in Hyderabad’s fight against narcotics trafficking.

Gangadhar and Mohanty are alleged to have sourced MDMA and other narcotics from an undisclosed supplier in Bangalore at a low cost and sold them to consumers in Hyderabad. During the operation, Priyanka Reddy and Shaki were caught attempting to purchase drugs from them. The seized drugs, including MDMA, ganja, and Indian charas, were all traced back to suppliers in Bangalore.
The suspects face charges under multiple sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Act, including Sections 8(C), 22(C), 27, and 29. The investigation continues as authorities work to identify the supplier and uncover further links within the drug network.
