Cheyenne Pratt Sentenced to 4 Years for Stolen Gun Possession

Streator woman pleads guilty after drugs and stolen firearm seizure

by Sophia Bennett

STREATOR, Ill. — Cheyenne Pratt, 23, pleaded guilty Friday in La Salle County Circuit Court to unlawful possession of a stolen firearm and was sentenced to four years in prison.

Pratt’s sentence stems from a June 19 traffic stop in Streator, where a K-9 officer alerted police to suspected narcotics in her vehicle. During the search, officers discovered a .22-caliber revolver that had been reported stolen.

In addition to the stolen gun charge, Pratt also pleaded guilty to two Class 4 felonies—unlawful possession of a controlled substance and violating pretrial release terms. She received two concurrent two-year sentences for these charges.

This plea resolves multiple open cases against Pratt, with the most serious charge carrying a prison term of three to seven years.
