JACKSON, MS – Six individuals, including five teenagers and one adult woman, have been arrested in connection with a series of business burglaries and auto thefts reported over the past month in Jackson.
On Friday, September 12, Jackson Police arrested one 14-year-old, three 15-year-olds, and one 16-year-old. According to investigators, the teens are facing:
3 counts of Business Burglary
5 counts of Auto Theft
Police say the 14-year-old and two of the 15-year-olds were responsible for burglarizing a Tobacco and Vape Shop in the 4800 block of Highway 18 on three separate occasions: August 6, August 18, and August 24. All five juveniles are also accused of stealing five vehicles between early August and September 10.
The teens were booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.
Also arrested was 40-year-old Chasity Davis, the mother of one of the teens. She was charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor after police determined she had knowledge of her son’s involvement in the crimes.
