Charrybelle Talaue Charged for Impersonating Nurse on Vancouver Island
CENTRAL SAANICH, B.C. — Charrybelle Talaue has been charged with multiple offences after allegedly posing as a registered nurse and working in health care settings across the Victoria area.
The Central Saanich Police stated that the fraudulent activities began in December 2023, and additional charges were later filed in Alberta. The charges include fraud, forgery, and personation.
Police allege that Talaue used several aliases during her impersonation, including:
Charrybelle Perez Talaue
Belle Marie
Yves Anglehart
Belle Yves Talaue Anglehart
Charrybelle Baldesancho
Charie Talaue
Authorities believe she falsely claimed to be a registered nurse while lacking the necessary qualifications or licenses to work in the province.
Following the discovery of her actions, arrest warrants were issued, and she has since been taken into custody and returned to face trial.
When asked about such incidents in 2023, B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix stated that impersonating a health care professional undermines the dedication of licensed workers who supported the province through the pandemic.
The B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives encourages the public to use its online registry to verify the licensing status of nurses and midwives.
