A Charlotte man was arrested early Wednesday morning in Wilmington after police discovered drugs, cash, and paraphernalia during a traffic stop.
Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust
Just after 1 a.m., Wilmington Police Department (WPD) officers stopped a black vehicle with heavily tinted windows in the 3200 block of Wrightsville Avenue. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found:
Marijuana
Packaging materials
Scales
Cash
Charges & Bond
Arturo Ervin, 34, of Charlotte, was arrested and charged with:
Possession With Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Distribute (PWIMSD) Marijuana
PWIMSD Schedule VI Controlled Substance
Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia
Felony Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for Controlled Substances
M/S/D/P Controlled Substance within 1,000 Feet of a Park (Empie Park)
Ervin is currently being held at the NHSO Detention Center under a $125,000 secured bond
