LANCASTER COUNTY, PA — A 47-year-old Florida man was arrested after police discovered a stolen U-Haul and illegal substances in Willow Street, Pennsylvania.
According to West Lampeter Township Police, officers were conducting a routine business check around 1 a.m. Sunday when they encountered a man dressed in women’s clothing standing beside a U-Haul in the parking lot of the 100 block of Willow Valley Square.
The individual, identified as Charles N. Ressler, presented a Florida ID. Upon further investigation, police discovered the U-Haul had been reported stolen out of Green Cove Springs, Florida.
Ressler, a registered sex offender in Florida, admitted to currently residing in the Willow Street area. During a search of the vehicle, officers found a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Ressler was charged with:
Receiving stolen property
Possession of a controlled substance
Possession of drug paraphernalia
He was processed at the West Lampeter Township Police Department and transported to Lancaster County Prison, where he awaits a preliminary arraignment.
Ressler is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
