A Warrenton man is facing multiple drug charges after deputies seized nearly $42,000 worth of marijuana from his home, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Deputies, working with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), executed a search warrant on October 9 at a residence on White Farm Road in Warrenton.
Investigators say Charles Lewis Montague Jr. received a package containing a large amount of marijuana, which was determined to have an estimated street value of about $42,000.
Montague was arrested and charged with:
Trafficking marijuana
Felony possession of marijuana
Possession with intent to manufacture marijuana
Maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances
He was given a $150,000 secured bond and booked into the Warren County Detention Facility, where he remains pending bond or his first court appearance.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may follow.
