ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. — A woman has been charged with identity fraud after deputies accused her of stealing an elderly woman’s identity to commit theft.
Charla Webb was arrested in 2025 for allegedly stealing more than $318,000 from an elderly woman while posing as her caregiver, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Webb’s actions were intended to “rip off the elderly,” and she now faces criminal charges for her alleged crimes.
