The Charkop police arrested 41-year-old labourer Dasa Rana for allegedly killing his wife by strangulation during a heated argument on Saturday.
According to police reports, the couple’s minor son witnessed the incident and later recounted the events to authorities. The dispute began when Rana demanded money from his wife, expressing a desire to visit his native place in Odisha. When she refused to provide the funds, Rana reportedly lost his temper and strangled her to death.
Police have registered a murder case against Rana and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
