MERIDIAN, Idaho — Meridian police arrested a woman following a shooting incident early Sunday morning on North Main Street, authorities said.

Officers on foot patrol reported hearing multiple gunshots in the 700 block of N. Main Street. They quickly located 34-year-old Chantel McPherson of Meridian in a parking lot between Off the Clock Bar and Frontier Club.

Witnesses identified McPherson as the shooter, who allegedly fired several rounds from a 9mm pistol, striking a pickup truck occupied by two victims. Police said the victims had reportedly been involved in a fight with McPherson and an acquaintance prior to the shooting.

No injuries were reported, but at least two vehicles, including the victims’ pickup, were struck by bullets. McPherson was booked into the Ada County Jail on two counts of aggravated assault.

The investigation remains ongoing.
