LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two adults have been arrested and charged in Meade County after a 2-month-old baby was found unresponsive in their hotel room on Tuesday.
Chance Baldwin, 25, and Felicianna Montez, 23, are facing serious charges, including manslaughter, child abuse, and wanton endangerment, according to police.
Authorities responded to a hotel on Main Street after Baldwin and Montez called 911 to report the infant was not breathing. Officers discovered that a 1-year-old child was also in the room at the time.
According to an arrest citation, the couple told investigators they began drinking alcohol around 8 p.m. the night before and later put the infant to bed. The baby was later found unresponsive in bed with them.
The investigation remains ongoing, and further details have not yet been released.
