Chakib Mansour Khodja Charged with 18 Crimes in Chicago Sexual Assaults

Algerian National Faces Multiple Charges for Violent Attacks on Women

Chakib Mansour Khodja, a 36-year-old Algerian national and limo driver living in Chicago, has been charged with 18 crimes in connection with five cases of sexual violence spanning from 2022 to 2025. The Chicago Police Department (CPD) arrested Khodja on April 4, 2025, at O’Hare International Airport as he returned from a trip to Algeria.

During a press conference on Monday, CPD Superintendent Larry Snelling and Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke announced the formal charges against Khodja, including three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse with a weapon, and several other charges related to sexual violence and kidnapping. Khodja is also facing attempted home invasion charges, unlawful restraint, and misdemeanor public indecency.

According to authorities, Khodja is accused of threatening two women with a knife before sexually assaulting them earlier this year. In a separate 2022 incident, CPD states Khodja sexually assaulted a woman who had been kidnapped by two other men. He is also accused of attempting to kidnap and rape another woman in 2022 by covering her head with a drawstring bag. Fortunately, the woman fought him off.

Through DNA evidence, police have linked Khodja to four of the five cases. CPD Superintendent Snelling praised the victims for their resilience, acknowledging the long-lasting trauma they will carry with them. “These women survived something that is horrible and terrible, and it’s something they will continue to live with for the rest of their days,” Snelling said.

State’s Attorney O’Neill Burke also emphasized the significance of Khodja’s arrest, stating, “This man was a violent, serial predator who literally went out hunting for his victims.” She commended CPD’s persistence in solving the case, which took three years of investigative work to bring Khodja to justice.

Khodja remains in custody as authorities continue to build their case.
