CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) — A domestic disturbance call on August 16 led to the arrest of a Corbin man who was also wanted on multiple outstanding warrants.
A deputy from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Helton Lane after reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy heard yelling from inside the home.
After knocking several times, a man briefly opened the door but quickly shut it again upon seeing the deputy. The man eventually exited the home but behaved aggressively and refused to identify himself.
Following a short struggle, the man was taken into custody and identified as Chad Posey, 40, of Corbin.
Posey was charged with menacing and resisting arrest. Authorities also discovered he had two Knox County bench warrants and one Laurel County bench warrant.
He was booked into the Knox County Detention Center, and additional court proceedings are expected.
