KEWAUNEE, Wis. (WFRV) – A Green Bay man believed to be connected to a string of tire thefts across northeast Wisconsin has been arrested following a multi-agency investigation and home search.
On September 18, deputies from the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Seymour Police Department, executed an arrest warrant as part of an investigation into numerous thefts involving tires.
The suspect, 27-year-old Cesar Mendoza Mora, was taken into custody after a search warrant was carried out at his Green Bay residence with the assistance of the Green Bay Police Department and Algoma Police Department.
Authorities seized evidentiary items, as well as a vehicle and trailer linked to the investigation. Additionally, illegal drugs were found on the premises.
Mendoza Mora is facing charges of Receiving Stolen Property, and a bail hearing is scheduled for September 22.
Officials say the investigation, which initially focused on thefts involving fraudulent credit card use in Kewaunee County, has expanded significantly.
“This was part of a much larger scale operation which continues to broaden,” the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released.
