KYLE, Texas — A multi-agency investigation into a string of restaurant burglaries has led to charges against three Houston-area men accused of stealing cash registers from several businesses.

According to the Kyle Police Department, the incidents occurred on Nov. 12, 2025, when the suspects targeted multiple Poco Loco restaurant locations, stealing cash registers while traveling from the Kyle area toward Houston.

Investigators from the Kyle Police Department and the Hays County Sheriff’s Office worked together to identify the suspects and connect them to other burglary cases across the region.

Authorities have charged Cedric Ryan Scales Jr., 19; Isaiah Jacob Jaramillo, 23; and Ca’Den Dejuan Johnson, 21, all from Houston, with burglary of a building and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Hays County Sheriff Anthony Hipolito praised the joint effort between agencies.

“I’m grateful for my relationship with Chief Barnett and the Kyle Police Department. I’m thoroughly impressed with the collaboration and dedication shown by investigators from both agencies,” Hipolito said.

Kyle Police Chief Dr. Jeff Barnett also highlighted the importance of regional cooperation in solving the case.

“These arrests are the result of strong collaboration between our department and partner law enforcement agencies. By working together, we were able to identify and apprehend these suspects and hold them accountable for crimes committed across the region,” Barnett said.

Authorities said the suspects were arrested at different times during the investigation. Johnson was taken into custody on Dec. 8, 2025, by the Angleton Police Department in connection with a separate robbery case. Jaramillo was arrested on Jan. 13, 2026, by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, while Scales was arrested on March 5, 2026, also by the task force.

Officials said the arrests were also connected to a separate stolen firearms investigation in Angleton, Texas.
