The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Mangaluru arrested two men and seized hydroweed cannabis, cannabis, and charas worth Rs8 lakh. The accused were identified as Thaizeer Ismail Hussain (23) of Pandeshwar and Royston Xavier Lobo (23) of Shivabagh.
Police revealed that the accused sourced narcotics from Bengaluru and sold them to students and others in Mangaluru. Acting on a tip-off, the CCB team apprehended the suspects while allegedly selling drugs on Shivabagh 5th Cross Road. Two mobile phones were also confiscated during the arrest.
The operation was led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Manoj Kumar Naika, with support from Inspector K.M. Rafeeq, Sub-Inspector Narendra, and Assistant Sub-Inspectors Ram Poojary, Seenappa, and Sujan Shetty.
