Catherine Schulz Arrested for Stealing $18K Worth of Jewelry

Cleaning Company Owner Stole Jewelry From Client in Volusia

by Sophia Bennett

Catherine Schulz, the owner of Clean and Proper LLC, was arrested on January 29 after being accused of stealing $18,500 worth of jewelry from a client in Volusia County. The theft took place during a series of home cleaning visits by Schulz, who had been hired by the victim to clean her home.

On January 14, the victim noticed several items were missing, including prescription tablets, jewelry, and a pair of Adidas sneakers, after Schulz had visited her home on multiple occasions. When the victim confronted Schulz about the missing items, the cleaning company owner denied having taken them. However, later that day, the victim found the Adidas sneakers placed on her front patio.

Following a detective’s investigation, it was discovered that Schulz had pawned the stolen jewelry at a Port Orange pawn shop. Security footage from the shop confirmed that Schulz was the person who had pawned the items.

Schulz was arrested on January 29 and charged with theft. She was released on a $10,000 bond.
