VANCEBORO, N.C. — A Greenville woman is facing multiple felony drug charges following a traffic stop, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies with the sheriff’s K-9 Bureau stopped a vehicle on Feb. 23, 2026, along N.C. 43 near Mile Road. During the stop, K-9 Dare gave a positive alert, leading deputies to search the vehicle.
Authorities said they found several controlled substances, including heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and assorted pills. A firearm was also discovered in the vehicle.
Casie Marie Hazelton, 38, of Rams Horns Road in Greenville, was charged with felony possession of heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine. Additional charges include simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, two counts of simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed firearm, and driving without a license.
Hazelton is being held at the Craven County Confinement Facility.
