Cashstro Nimmons Arrested in Syracuse Shooting Incident

21-year-old faces charges following Tuesday's shooting on Catherine Street

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Police Department has arrested 21-year-old Cashstro Nimmons in connection with a shooting that occurred on Catherine Street Tuesday afternoon. Nimmons has been charged with second-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees, and criminal possession of a firearm.

At approximately 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a call regarding a shooting on the 600 block of Catherine Street. Upon arrival, police found a 19-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the left arm and torso. The victim was immediately transported to Upstate University Hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.

Nimmons was taken into custody shortly after the incident. The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
