WARRINGTON, Pa. (WETM) — On March 1, 2025, Casey Lou Schumann, 38, from Warrington, was arrested after a routine police patrol led to the discovery of unpaid merchandise and drugs.
Police were investigating a vehicle parked in a fire lane at the Wegmans parking lot on Main Street when they received a call about a shoplifting in progress. Upon arrival, they found Schumann detained for taking items worth $21.25 without paying. Though Schumann paid for a drink, police said she left the store with additional merchandise unscanned.
Upon searching Schumann and her car, police found narcotics and drug paraphernalia. She explained that she parked in the fire lane because her car key wouldn’t come out of the ignition, but police did not disclose further details about the car.
Schumann was arrested and arraigned on $25,000 unsecured bail by District Justice Terry Hughes. She faces charges of shoplifting and narcotics possession, according to police.
