CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. – Four individuals were arrested in the latest phase of an ongoing drug sting, Operation Find Out, conducted by the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies reported that Justin Thompson, David Lewis, Darlene Browning, and Damian Szydek were apprehended for their alleged roles in illegal drug sales across the county.
Justin Thompson faces multiple charges, including six counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver Schedule II controlled substances, four counts of selling Schedule II substances, two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver Schedule I substances, one count of delivering a Schedule I substance, and five counts of trafficking meth. Thompson is held on a $500,001 secured bond.
David Lewis was charged with two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver Schedule II controlled substances and one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule I controlled substance. His bond is set at $50,000.
Darlene Browning faces one count each of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, selling a Schedule II substance, and delivering a Schedule II substance. Her bond is $100,000.
Damian Szydek was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, and selling and delivering a Schedule II substance, and is being held on a $30,000 secured bond.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that a total of 28 individuals have been arrested during the multi-phase operation targeting illegal drug activity in Carteret County.
