Carrie Penley Arrested in Lenoir County Vehicle Thefts

Pitt County woman faces multiple felony charges

PITT COUNTY, N.C. — A Pitt County woman was arrested Thursday following an investigation into multiple stolen vehicles in Lenoir County.

Carrie Amanda Penley, 31, was served with outstanding warrants by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office after an investigation by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office General Investigations Division linked her to several vehicle thefts. Authorities also said Penley broke into another vehicle and stole property.

Penley faces multiple charges, including:

Ten counts of felony larceny of a motor vehicle

One count of breaking and entering a motor vehicle with theft

One count of felony conspiracy

She is being held at the Pitt County Jail on a $150,000 secured bond.
