Marshall County, Ky. — A traffic stop on North 17th Street in Marshall County led to the arrest of two individuals after deputies discovered narcotics in their vehicle.
The incident occurred at 11:25 a.m. when Deputy Peyton Jackson and Detective Sergeant Seaton pulled over a vehicle driven by Carrie Ann Runyon, 41, of Mayfield. After conducting the stop, law enforcement found that Runyon was impaired and charged her with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, wanton endangerment in the second degree, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in the vehicle, Michael Hendley, 43, of Morehead, Kentucky, was also arrested. He faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.
A 13-year-old juvenile was in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
The search of the vehicle was conducted with the assistance of K-9 Drax from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office. Both Runyon and Hendley were transported to the Graves County Regional Correctional Center before being moved to an out-of-county jail facility.
