Carlos Yordanis Aldana, 38, has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of 30-year-old Yannelis De La Caridad Casales Anton in a Jacksonville home early Sunday morning, according to police.
Incident Details
Officers responded to a stabbing report at a home on Arlington Expressway near Townsend Boulevard around 3:20 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, they found Aldana injured with stab wounds to his left hand and shin.
Inside the home, police discovered Anton with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested
Authorities quickly identified Aldana as the suspect. After being treated for his injuries at a local hospital, he was arrested later that day on a murder charge.
Domestic Violence Connection
While police have not disclosed the exact relationship between Aldana and Anton, they have confirmed that the case is being investigated as a domestic violence incident.
