HORIZON CITY, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 30-year-old man from Horizon City has been arrested and charged with child abuse following an investigation into allegations involving a 10-year-old child.
Police say Carlos Herrera was taken into custody on Friday, May 23, 2025, at his home after a warrant was issued for his arrest. The investigation began on March 10, 2025, after authorities received a report of suspected child abuse.
Following a review of evidence, investigators determined there was enough probable cause to charge Herrera. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, and bond was set at $15,000.
No additional details regarding the child’s condition or the nature of the abuse were released. The case remains under investigation.
