BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – A coordinated investigation involving the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan Police, and College Station Police led to the arrest of three Houston men linked to a string of daytime home burglaries across the region.
Carlos Cordova-Valencia, 25; Jann Cuero-Garces, 25; and Bryan Nunez-Arboleda, 30, were apprehended Wednesday during a “high-risk” traffic stop in College Station. Authorities said the trio are part of a larger Houston-based organized crime group responsible for numerous burglaries targeting jewelry, gold, and firearms.
According to investigators, the men posed as construction workers wearing high-visibility vests. One would knock on doors pretending to be a service provider while the others would move to the back. If no one answered, they’d break in through the rear of the home.
The suspects were tied to multiple incidents in the Oakmont and Raintree neighborhoods. Police discovered gloves, masks, burglary tools, and a vehicle believed to have been used in several recent crimes. A drone launch by officers is believed to have disrupted another planned burglary.
Cordova-Valencia had an outstanding warrant for family violence assault out of Harris County. All three face charges of Burglary of Habitation and Possession of Criminal Instruments, with bond set at $40,000 each. They are also being held on immigration detainers.
Police credited surveillance footage, witness tips, and neighborhood vigilance for helping to crack the case. Investigations are ongoing, and more charges may follow.
Residents are urged to report suspicious activity, use home security systems, and remain alert.
